What is DHT?

DHT is an abbreviation for Dihydrotestosterone, which is a byproduct of Testosterone. DHT prevents hair growth, leading to male hair loss. A human's scalp produces an enzyme known as 5 alpha reductase. When the enzyme 5 alpha reductase interacts with testosterone in the body, it produces Dihydrotestosterone or DHT, causing significant amounts of hair loss.
Since our bodies need Testosterone in order to remain healthy and fit, one way to combat hair loss is to stop the creation enzyme that creates DHT. This why men everywhere have begun using DHT blockers to help fight male hair loss.
There are many all natural DHT blockers available, most of them without a prescription. DHT blockers are safer alternatives to prescription medications that can interfere with testosterone itself.
